Sango UMC Welcomes Deidre’ Thornton as new Director of Christian Education

DeidreDeidre’ is a native of Lake Providence, Louisiana. She is a recent graduate of Tennessee State University where she earned a B.A. degree in Arts and Sciences. This degree includes studies in Elementary Education and concentrations in Sociology and English. While attending TSU, she was a leader and dance coordinator at TSU Wesley Foundation, member and Chaplain of campus organization The National Council of Negro INC, and an active member of Leadership TSU. She has been serving her community since the age of 14 and motivating youth academically and spiritually. Deidre’ has a passion for dance, but her true love is God and his plan for mankind.
