The Rev. Don Sensing is a native of Nashville. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in philosophy and attained his M.Div. from Vanderbilt Divinity School in 1999. In between, he served as a U.S. Army field artillery officer, retiring from the Army in 1995. Don and Cathy have been married since 1980. They have three children, Stephen, Thomas and Elizabeth. Don began his appointment here at Sango UMC in June 2007.
Jodi was born in rural Indiana the daughter of a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister. When she was eight, her family moved to Illinois, where she grew up. She graduated from Millikin University with a degree in Communication/Public Relations and moved to TN in November of 1998. In 1999 Jodi joined the Army and became the Division Chaplain Assistant at Ft. Campbell. She and her husband, Bill, were married in 2000. They have two children, Olivia and Will.
Over the years, Jodi has held leadership roles in all kinds of ministries including youth group, choir, praise team, drama and creative ministries, mission trips, and vacation Bible School. She came to Sango UMC in November 2008. A large part of Jodi's responsibilities include Children's ministry and Christian Education.
